Bright start for Theatre Tech class

Our new Year 9 Theatre Technology course is off to a ‘bright’ start as students receive a demonstration of the lighting capabilities in our new auditorium with their Drama teacher and theatre technician.

Students will learn to light, sound, design, stage and produce their new Year 9/10 production of ‘The 39 Steps Even More Abridged’ adapted by Patrick Barlow for performance on 30 October in the auditorium space so stay tuned for more about this exciting production.

Students have been getting real hands-on experience of the possibilities in theatre and are even talking about potential career opportunities.  Watching this production come to life from paper to performance is an exciting opportunity for students to realise their creative visions.

It’s these hands on and sleeves rolled up opportunities that’s really driving our learning experience from theory to reality. The future in Performing Arts here at St Patrick's is thriving.
