Maths App Pilot Program

A new way of learning Maths @ Craigieburn Secondary College

On the first day of the Maths app Pilot Program at Craigieburn Secondary College, students were introduced to an exciting new initiative aimed at enhancing their numeracy skills. This pilot, a project developed by the University of Melbourne, seeks to boost student engagement in numeracy, especially for those from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

During the initial session, students were introduced to the goals of the pilot and provided with a prototype of the application. The app features short-form lessons, gamification elements, and AI-driven support to aid learning. The students were actively involved in providing initial feedback on the prototype, sharing their thoughts on the app's usability and design. 

The session marked the beginning of what promises to be a transformative journey for both the students and the development team. The insights gained from this pilot will play a vital role in refining the application before its broader rollout.
