Dear Parents and Carers
Uniform Review Update
Following our previous correspondence in November 2024 regarding the review of the College uniform, I am pleased to share an update on the process. Since that initial communication, a Uniform Committee comprising a representative group of parents, students, and staff met with potential designers late last year. As a result of their recommendation, I am pleased to announce that Ranier Schoolwear has been appointed to facilitate the review of our current uniform, with the potential for a new uniform in the future.
Through this process, it has become clear that the original timelines and lead times for introducing a new uniform in 2026 were ambitious. Given the complexities involved, I can now confirm that the current uniform will be maintained for 2026.
Over the next month, Uniform Committee Chair, Simone Wilson - Senior Manager Marketing and Communications, will pass on the updated thinking regarding design concepts to Ranier Schoolwear. In the coming months, the College will consult widely with staff, parents, and students as part of the review of the College uniform.
The College remains committed to ensuring any future uniform changes align with the College’s heritage, values, and vision, while taking into account practical considerations for families. We will continue to engage with our community throughout this process and provide further updates as developments occur.
Kind regards
Greg Miller
Principal
Heartworks@Chev
On Friday 7 March the College will be launching Heartworks@Chev from 3.45 to 6.00pm. Heartworks@Chev will be held in McGrath Hall and is a gathering for students who would like to further engage in fellowship, games, social justice activities and Spirituality of the Heart on a Friday afternoon. The opportunity is open to all students in Years 7 to 12 and will be held on the first Friday of the month during term time.
For our first gathering, part of the afternoon will include learning more about the Vinnies Food Van before students help to make sandwiches to be distributed through this service. A sausage sizzle will also be provided for students before the conclusion of the afternoon at 6.00pm.
To assist with catering, students will be asked to register their interest in attending through the student Daily Notices during Weeks 5 and 6.

The Australian Government Department of Education requests non-government schools to provide address details to inform Australian Government school education policy and help to ensure funding for non-government schools is based on need.
Chevalier College is required to provide the department with the following information about each student at the school by no later than Wednesday 14 March 2025:
The school collects the above information by generating a unique and unidentifiable student reference number (SRN) for each student record, which is also provided to the department. Click here to read the Australian Government Collection Notice.
