Term 3, Week 1-Welcome to Term 3!

It has been a fantastic start to the term with the Pathways students settling into their new homerooms and learners across the school engaging enthusiastically with our new specialist spaces. These additions have already made a positive impact—it's been wonderful to see students making the most of the fresh environments. One of my favourite moments is watching junior students play in the lower junior yard—whether it's shooting hoops, kicking the football, or climbing the big rocks, the joy is unmistakable.

We are also pleased to welcome the dental van back to our school. Many students are participating in this important program that supports dental hygiene, and it's hard to believe it's already been a week since they arrived.

Lower junior excursions have kicked off with therapeutic experiences like Nurturing Neighs Equine Therapy. These enriching programs are something the students eagerly anticipate and benefit from greatly.

Several facility upgrades took place over the break. If you've visited the assembly area recently, you might have noticed the changes in the amphitheatre space. We’d love to see more families join us for Wednesday morning assemblies. Please note, given the cold mornings, we are making a decision each Wednesday morning on whether assembly will be held outdoors or online. This will be communicated electronically on the morning. If you’re on-site and it’s an online day, feel free to join us in the staffroom to watch the live stream on the big screen.

Speaking of the chilly weather—please ensure students are dressed warmly each day. We have a range of uniform options available to keep them comfortable. A gentle reminder that while oodies are cozy, they’re not part of our school uniform and should stay at home.

The SRC has some exciting plans for this term… but we’re keeping them under wraps for now. Stay tuned!
