FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents,
As the final days of the school year drawn to a close, I find myself filled with immense pride and gratitude for all that we have accomplished together as a school community. I would like to once again that all the members of our school community for the contributions throughout the year, our students, families and staff make St Nicholas such a special place to work and learn.
Staff Farewells
"It is with mixed emotions that we farewell several of our St Nicholas staff members as we head into 2026.
Over the last few days, we’ve had the privilege of celebrating the incredible contributions of Renee Dunst, Helen Beale, Kaitlyn Graham, Leah Downs, Leanne McClellan, Bridget Tydd, and Jack O'Neill. While they move on to new chapters, we know that 'once a member of St Nicholas, always a member of St Nicholas.' Thank you all for your dedication and the heart you poured into our school. You will be missed!"
School Leaders for 2026
A special congratulations to our newly elected school captains for 2026. The roles of school and house captains are significant within our school and our leaders need to exhibit positive influence and encouragement, which I am sure our new Leaders will do:
School Captains: Stella Clery & Max Collett
Vice Captains: Louellen Duncan & Eli Johnson
Dominic Captains: Harper Henry & Jonty Townsend
Edmund Rice Captains: Annie Davidson & Christian IIes
MacKillop Captains: Lily Jackson & William Kellow
Ozanam Captains: Nellie Burgess & William French
Semester 2 Student Reports
The Semester 2 Reports have been finalised, and have been accessable on Compass since Monday Afternoon. Please take the time to carefully read the reports and highlight areas of strength and success with your child, and also areas for growth and development. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office if you require assistance to access your child's report or if you have any questions or queries.
Social Media Ban - eSafety Commissioner Advice
The eSafety Commissioner has published a helpful Social Media Age Restrictions Hub. This includes advice for Young People, Families & Educators. As the social media age restrictions came into effect on 10 December, we encourage you to explore this valuable online resource.
On behalf of all the staff at St Nicholas school, I extend our warmest wishes for a very happy and holy Christmas and a safe and relaxing holiday season.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year, refreshed and ready for new adventures in 2026!
Students return to school on Thursday 29th January 2026.
Warm regards,
Peter Flynn
