Dear Families, 

As we begin another exciting term, I would like to share some highlights and celebrate the wonderful achievements of our students, staff and community.

Celebrating Student Voice

Our Grade 4–6 students recently completed the annual Attitudes to School Survey, and I am delighted to share that the results were extremely positive. The survey showed that our students continue to feel safe, respected and included at school, with outstanding results in the areas of bullying and racism prevention.

It is particularly pleasing that almost all students reported not experiencing bullying this term, while reports of racism prevention showed further improvement from previous years. These results reflect the positive culture we continue to build together and are a credit to our students, staff and families for creating a caring and inclusive school community.

Outstanding Learning Growth

We are also celebrating our 2026 NAPLAN results. Our Year 5 students demonstrated exceptional growth across all assessment areas, with strong improvements from their Year 3 results. Their achievement highlights the impact of quality teaching, student effort and strong partnerships with families.

While our current Year 3 results provide a clear baseline and identify areas for future improvement, we are confident that with continued support and targeted teaching, these students will also make excellent progress over the coming years.

School Improvements

Over the holiday break, several projects were completed to further enhance our school. Students are already enjoying new artificial turf and additional outdoor seating, while important maintenance works have helped improve our grounds.

We are also pleased that our upgraded student toilets near the office and refurbished staff facilities are now open and in use, providing modern, welcoming spaces for our school community.

Thank You for Your Support

Thank you to all families who attended our recent Parent-Teacher Interviews. With 268 interviews held, it was wonderful to see such strong family engagement and the valuable conversations that support every child's learning and growth.

Looking Ahead

Term 3 promises to be another exciting one, with Book Week, Footy Day, District Athletics, Hooptime, our Father's Day celebration and our much-anticipated School Musical at Bunjil Place all on the calendar. These events provide fantastic opportunities for students to learn, perform, compete and connect as a school community.
