At POPS, we are proud to achieve consistently strong results, an achievement that reflects our evidence based teaching practices and our staff’s deep understanding of how students learn best.
Our success is also supported by a dedicated students and parent community that values academic excellence and actively contributes to their children’s learning journey.
The 2024 Annual Report highlights this shared success, with our students performing above similar and state schools in NAPLAN, the Victorian Curriculum Achievement Standards, and Student Wellbeing measures.
While we’re proud of these outcomes, we remain committed to continuous improvement and delivering the best possible education for every student.
Please take the time to read the Annual Report
and share with members of the wider community the excellent achievements of our students.
We’re excited to invite all families to our 'Celebrating Cultures' Open Night on Wednesday May 21 from 5:30–7:00 pm. This special evening is a chance for families to come together and explore the rich diversity of cultures from around the world.
Different areas of the school will represent various continents, each offering fun and engaging activities for students and their families to enjoy. Students will receive a passport to collect stamps as they visit each continent. Once completed, passports can be placed in a box in the Arts Centre to go into a prize draw.
At 6:40 pm the evening will conclude in the Arts Centre with musical performances and the drawing of the winning passports.
A big thank you to TheirCare for generously donating sausages for a fundraising BBQ. Funds raised will go towards purchasing prizes and cultural classroom resources that celebrate different cultures. You can purchase a sausage and juice box or water for $1 each. The BBQ will be outside the Pettet Centre between 5:45- 6:20 pm
We look forward to seeing you there!
On Monday, May 19, staff will take part in a professional learning day with Donvale PS, Templestowe Valley PS, Warrandyte PS, and Wonga Park PS.
The day will focus on the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model, including the research and neuroscience behind learning and effective teaching. There will also be sessions on student and staff wellbeing. We are looking forward to a engaging day and strengthening connections with our neighbouring schools.
Exciting News!
