The Parents Association is proud to be involved with two upcoming events for parents. In conjunction with Footscray West Primary School, we invite you to attend the following parent information sessions, each an opportunity to share key, timely information that will assist you to engage positively with your child’s education.

Ready Set Go! School Readiness Information Session (on site) - Tuesday 23rd July, 6.30pm

Hosted by Early Life Foundations, this session is designed to assist families to evaluate whether their pre-school child is ready for school next year and provide useful information to make an informed decision. If you or someone you know has a child starting prep in 2025, this is essential information!

Berry St Parent Forum (online) - Wednesday 31st July, 7.00-8.00pm

Hosted by educators from Berry St, this session will explain what the Berry St Education Model is and how it is assisting the learning of your child. You will learn key strategies to use when helping children manage stress, de-escalation skills as well as the language of BSEM and what children are learning at school about their stress response. Valuable information for modern day parenting - and we may also finally learn what a ‘brain break’ is!

Trivia Night - Saturday 10th August, 7.00pm

The Trivia Night is only three weeks away, and we look forward to welcoming the lucky ticket holders as we host this event for the first time. As plans for the evening are taking shape, we are seeking some assistance with the following items:

Auction Items and DJ

We are seeking donations of items to be sold at our fundraising auction. If you or your workplace have any donations that will generate some interest and a few bids, we would like to hear from you. Think hampers, memorabilia, electronics and more.

An exciting volunteer opportunity also exists for a talented DJ to continue the entertainment after the trivia. You will play a key role in the entertainment for the evening!
