Visual Arts - Adrian 3B (Be a Learner) Adrian showed fantastic focus, perseverance and determination while learning to sew in Art this week. He applied new skills and successfully managed to complete all of the basic sewing techniques.
Congratulations and well done Adrian!
Performing Arts - Pharez 3A for displaying pride in Performing Arts while singing and presenting his knowledge and movements of the Torres Strait song, ‘Taba Naba’. Well done for your fantastic modelling and encouragement to others during this song!
Chinese - Marlee FA (Be Respectful) Marlee has demonstrated respect by actively listening to others ideas and supporting her peers when seeing the colour song. Well Done Marlee.
6B - Emelia (Be a Learner) For showing pride in the classroom and taking great care with your work. You have had a great start to the term. Well done!
6C - Nathan for demonstrating a strong work ethic across all subjects, always striving to do his best, and contributing insightful ideas during class discussions.
5A -Sidak (Be Respectful) for being an inclusive member of the class and always inviting other students to participate. She is extremely thoughtful and demonstrates this through kindness and respect. Thankyou for being a positive member of the class.
5C - Finlea (Be a Learner) for taking responsibility for her learning. She has started this term with new enthusiasm and has shown resilience during Math lessons. Fantastic attitude to Learning Finlea! Well done.
4A - Annie (Be a Learner) Awarded to Annie for her excellent poetry work. She put 100% effort into every poem she wrote and published. Annie even went to extra effort in the school holidays to add 'About the Author' detail into her published Anthology. Well done Annie!
4B - Peyland (Be a Learner) for her outstanding effort and enthusiasm in Mathematics this week. Peyland identified a range of equivalent fractions and contributed to class discussions, demonstrating a willingness to take risks. Very well done, Peyland!
4C - Elihu (Be Safe) for focusing on moving safely around the classroom. He is doing a fantastic job making safer choices each day! Keep up the great effort, Elihu 🙂
3A - Scarlett (Be a Learner) has been a role model in the classroom this week by demonstrating whole body listening during teacher instruction and completing tasks independently. Great effort Scarlett, you should be proud!
3B - Mason (Be a Learner) You have shown a fantastic dedication to learning so far this term. You have made fantastic progress with the effort you are putting into your Reading and Writing learning and this is shining through the quality of your work! Keep up the fantastic work, Mason!
2A- Nadia (Be Respectful) Nadia has been a role model to all her peers, demonstrating our classroom and school expectations of respectful, safe behaviour. She has begun the term by working hard during all learning tasks, sharing her brilliant ideas during class discussions and consistently showing kindness and manners towards her peers and teachers. 2B - Hailey (Be Respectful) for consistently displaying the Deer Park West school values. Hailey always acts kindly towards her peers and goes out of her way to help others. She listens respectfully and sets a wonderful example for her others in class. Well done Hailey!

FA - Kroy (Be a Learner) Kroy has returned to school with a wonderfully positive attitude, showing enthusiasm for learning. His readiness to participate has made a fantastic start to the term. Well done Kroy!
FB - Oliver (Be Respectful) Oliver has consistently been using his manners in the classroom. Thank-you Oliver. He has also been trying hard to remember to use whole body listening when sitting on the floor. Keep up the great work! 🙂
