Wowee!
What a couple of weeks we have had in the land of Division events and Girls Footy Invitationals.
5/6 Netball Girls
Another fantastic achievement for the girls taking out first place in one of the more amazingly stressful and entertaining days of sport. They were in, they were out, they were in, they were out, then they were champions! A big thank you to Simone Devlin for steering the ship alongside Mrs. Neal. Good luck in your Regional finals next Monday!
5/6 Soccer-Mixed
It was a crazy windy day at the soccer Division event with the team showing plenty of grit and determination in some nail biting results. I think some of the other goal keepers were walls and the team threw everything at them to get the ball past the post. They all showed exceptional team work and we couldn't be more proud of them. A big thank you to Nektar for coaching the team with excellent strategy and ensuring that everyone had their chance to shine. A big thank you also goes to Mrs O for her enthusiasm and soccer knowledge on the day.
5/6 Teeball
A great , but wet and slippery day greeted us at teeball for the Division finals. I have never seen a team have so many close games and near misses. We also went through to extra time in one of the games where you could have cut the tension with a knife! They showed plenty of grit and courage to continue to play in such challenging conditions. A big thank you to Miss Barr who came along with St. Mary’s to assist in the day. You brought wonderful vibes and composure for the team.
5/6 AFL Girls Gala day
Another windy day greeted the girls at Kings Park, for the Girls AFL W invitational day. It was a wonderful exhibition of team work and determination in some incredibly tight games to make it to the final and then WIN!! Not a bad effort for zero training sessions and learning the rules on the go. Another big shout out goes to Dan Devlin for leading the girls throughout the day with his enthusiasm and guidance. We look forward to watching you next Tuesday in the Regional finals!!
3/4 Hoop Time
Finally, last Wednesday we sent 25 of our 3/4 students to Hoop TIme at Waverley Basketball Stadium. The students had a great day, with some even playing their first game of basketball. All of the feedback that came back to me was that they represented the school in a fantastic manner and had a wonderful day of fun and laughter.

Finally a GINORMOUS bout of gratitude to our parents for not only transporting their children, other children to events, but the way you turn up and cheer on the school. The positivity is infectious. We will always try to ensure that the students have a wonderful experience and continue to enjoy these events.
