Principal's Message

Term 4, Week 5

Welcome Back!

We hope all families enjoyed a lovely long weekend and some extra time together. Our staff returned on Wednesday for a productive day of reflection and forward planning, celebrating our achievements from 2025 and setting goals as we look ahead to 2026. There’s a wonderful sense of excitement and purpose as we continue building on the growth and success of our school community.

Our Prep 2026 Orientation sessions have now concluded, and it has been such a joy to meet our newest learners and their families. We look forward to welcoming them officially into the St Brigid’s community next year as they begin their school journey with us.

SunSmart Reminder

As the warmer weather returns, a reminder that all students are required to wear their school hat during every play break. Please ensure your child has their hat each day and have a chat about the importance of keeping it on while outside. Some students have been removing their hats during playtime; those who forget or remove their hat will be asked to spend the remainder of the break in a shaded area.

Uniform Expectations

We’ve recently noticed an increase in students arriving out of uniform, wearing make-up, fake nails, excess jewellery, or non-school socks and hats. We ask for your support in reinforcing our uniform expectations at home, helping our students take pride in representing St Brigid’s. Our uniform policy can be found on the website if you are unsure.

From next week, students who are out of uniform will receive an Out of Uniform Card and will be directed to the office. Families will then receive an email notification. Please take a moment this week to chat with your child about this process so they understand the expectations and consequences in advance.

We look forward to a busy and rewarding few weeks ahead as we finish the term strongly and continue to celebrate all that makes St Brigid’s such a special place to learn and grow.

Warm regards,

Mel Daly
