Administration of Medicines During School Hours and Activities

As a school that is part of the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools, Holy Saviour is working through implementing a range of updated “system-wide” policies.

How the school manages the medical and health needs of students is outlined in the Medical Management Policy.

The way we handle the administration of the medication and medicine is outlined in the school’s Administration of Medication to Students - Proceduresdocument.

All parents are encouraged to familiarise themselves with these documents and consider what steps must be taken concerning their child\ren health needs and attendance at school.

Please Note: Medication such as aspirin and paracetamol will not be stored (or administered) for first aid purposes by the school as these medications may mask symptoms of serious conditions. If you wish for your child to receive asprin, paracetemol or any other medication please provide this to the school along with a completed Medical Management Plan and Medication Authority Form:

Please contact the office if you have any questions or concerns about this.

Working With Children Checks

We encourage parents/carers to register or renew their Working With Children Checks (WWCC).  It is a very simple process to apply for a card and even simpler to renew an existing one. Among other things, a valid WWCC enables parents / carers to help out in classrooms, library and accompany excursions.  If you already have a valid card, please let the office know. If you would like to renew or apply for a new card please click HERE.

Student Medical Information

Just a reminder to families to please log into Operoo and check that your child's medical information is up to date and current.  Please also ensure that if you have a child that is anaphylactic, asthmatic or suffering from allergies that you have submitted the appropriate and most current Action Plan (signed by your child's doctor / GP)  to the office and also have uploaded a copy to their Operoo student profile. Please also ensure that we have your child's medication (epipen/ventolin/allergy medicine) in the sick bay in case of an emergency.

Audiri App

Audiri is the platform we use to communicate any daily information to you. It is also how you can notify us of any student absences or early departures. Please refer to the below instructions on how to install Audiri / Skoolbag on your phone / device if you have not already done so. If you have any questions or problems then please contact the office.
