School Captains Report

Hi CGPS!
This is a quick message about Term 1 from your 2025 School Captains, Amelia, Tess and Audrey. We are so excited to announce our School Newspaper will be officially published on Compass for the first time this year, and stay tuned for more releases over the year! However, this message is about the completion of Term 1. Congratulations to everyone on completing the first term of 2025! Even more so, a huge shout out to the Preps who have finished their first term of primary school!
This term was very significant, as it was jam-packed with events and achievements! Some of these achievements were the NAPLAN for students in grade 3 and 5. We also celebrated harmony day on the 21st of March, enjoying lots of cultural foods from all around the world. Additionally, the Cross Country event for the grade 3-6’s on the 2nd of April was super fun, and well done to everyone who came in the top ten of their category, and will be participating in District. On the 26th of March, the year 6’s went to surf camp in Lorne, and had fun boogie boarding, surfing, and hiking to places like Teddy’s Lookout and along the beach. The food was amazing and everyone had a great time in Lorne.
Make sure to say a big thank you to our teaching staff for organising all of these fun events!
Next term, there will be plenty more activities and events for you to enjoy, so stay tuned for more information after the holidays! We love getting feedback from you about your favourite things we did this term and what you’re looking forward to over the course of this year. If you see us in the yard, make sure you say hi and tell us what you liked this term!
We would like to wish all of you a great, fun holiday.
See you for Term 2 on the 22nd of April after two weeks of the holidays!
Happy Easter, and good luck finding those chocolate eggs! If you don’t celebrate Easter, we hope you have an amazing holiday!
We look forward to seeing you next term!
Amelia, Tess and Audrey :)
