Year 3 Camp - Candlebark Farm

In the last week of Term 3 our Year 3 students adventured off to Candlebark Farm for their very first camp. Amongst the nerves there was plenty of excitement, despite the rainy weather, on day 1! Along the way we stopped to explore Maroondah Dam, with everyone amazed by its size. While at camp students challenged themselves and stepped out of their comfort zone by trying new foods and participating in a range of activities including the flying fox, low ropes course, orienteering, rock room, damper making, frisbee golf and cooperative games. At night students had fun in teams playing Minute to Win It and battling it out in our POPS Quiz Night, followed by a movie night the next evening. It was a fabulous camp filled with new experiences and plenty of laughter! Thank you to our wonderful dads who came along to help make it a memorable camp experience for everyone.

My favourite part was the flying fox. I liked the part where I went down backwards with my hands in the air. - Kaide

What I loved about camp was my cabin, I had all my friends. I loved playing ‘the floor is lava’ in my cabin. - Lara 

On camp I really enjoyed being in a cabin with my friends, especially at night. It was like a giant sleepover with my best friends. - Shae

I really liked the flying fox, it was really fun and you went so fast down it! - Hudson

I loved orienteering because it was like a treasure hunt and was so much fun. - Millie

My favourite part about Candlebark Farm was definitely the movie because it was really funny and it had one of my favourite movie stars in it. - Vidur
