Dear Parents,

I hope you have had a blessed week.

We had a wonderful time this morning at our Mother’s Day Chapel and Breakfast. Thank you to all who attended it was a joy to see so many members of our community gathered together. The pancakes were delicious and it was lovely to see everyone sitting together and connecting.

I particularly appreciated what Mrs Davila shared this morning, reminding us of the lasting impact of a Mother’s love and faith. It was a meaningful and encouraging message for us all.

Mother’s Day provides a special opportunity to recognise and honour the incredible role that mothers and mother-figures play in the lives of our children. We are deeply blessed in our community to have women who love, nurture, guide and pray for their families with such faithfulness and strength.

There is something profoundly powerful about a mother who prays, who lifts her children up, who walks alongside them through life, and who continues to point them toward what is good, true and lasting. These quiet, consistent acts of love shape not only families, but the culture of our entire community.

I pray Sunday is a good day for all of our Mums in our school, I also want to pray for those who are struggling with Mother's day (for a variety of reasons), that they would know comfort, peace, and the support of those around them during this time.

Farewell (for now) for Mrs Davila

We send our love and appreciation to Mrs Davila, who is now on Maternity leave with her impending baby until the beginning of 2027.

Mrs Davila is an outstanding educational leader and will be missed over the next two and half terms. We are excited for her as she enters this next season of motherhood and prepares to welcome baby number two to her family.

In the interim, Mr Misikos will step into the role of Deputy Principal for the remainder of the year. Mr Misikos is an experienced and capable educator, and I am confident he will continue to lead well while maintaining his responsibilities within his class. I have written to parents of Year 1 to explain the arrangements; and we look forward to welcoming back Mrs Robson, who will be job sharing 1 Green with Mr Misikos. We look forward to the contribution he will make in this role.

Cross Country

A big congratulations to all students who participated in the Cross Country. It was fantastic to see such determination, resilience and encouragement of one another throughout the event. Well done to everyone involved.

School Photos

A reminder that photo day is next Thursday 14 May. Please ensure:

  • students arrive at school on time;
  • full school winter uniform is worn, including correct (and clean) footwear;
  • hair is neat and tidy in accordance with school expectations; and
  • students present themselves well for their class and individual photographs.
  • all order envelopes must be returned, regardless of whether you are placing an order or not. You only need a sibling envelope if you're paying by cash.

Thank you for your support in helping the day run smoothly.

My door is always open.
