Sport report

We are excited to welcome coaches from Basketball Australia to Maramba Primary School on Wednesday to deliver a special basketball incursion aimed at promoting girls' participation in basketball. The coaches will be running clinics for all girls in Years 3–6, providing students with the opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy being active through basketball. We look forward to a fantastic day of learning and fun.
We would also like to wish Eve N the very best of luck as she competes in next week's Regional Cross Country Championships. Eve has already achieved outstanding success this year, and if she can finish in the top 10 at the regional event, she will qualify for the Victorian Championships. We are incredibly proud of Eve and all that she has accomplished, and we know she will represent Maramba with determination and pride.
The Maramba Sports Academy has continued throughout the term, and the students involved have been exceptional in their effort, enthusiasm and participation. During basketball sessions, students have focused on developing their understanding of the game, improving their fundamental skills and applying these skills effectively in game situations. In athletics, students have worked hard on developing speed, endurance, quickness and agility, which are key physical attributes that form the foundation of many invasion sports. It has been wonderful to see the growth and commitment shown by all students involved in the program.
