Principal's Report

Term 3, Week 1

Dear St FX Parents and Carers,

Welcome back for another wonderful school term! I trust you all had a safe and enjoyable holiday break and found time to do things at a different pace throughout the holidays.

Parent Teacher Meetings - Term 2

Thank you to all our parents and families who attended interviews with classroom teachers last term. It was a chance to chat about the learning progress to date and the direction for learning across the coming semester. Our staff certainly appreciated the opportunity to set Semester 2 goals in conjunction with our families.

P&F Meeting - Wednesday 23rd July, 5:30pm

The next meeting of the P & F Association will be on Wednesday 23rd July, 5:30pm . We welcome any new or old faces so you can hear about upcoming plans for the P&F and to share ways and possible opportunities for us to help strengthen the St Francis Xavier’s family community.

NAIDOC Week

Our NAIDOC Week began with a wonderful whole school assembly and acknowledgements of both culture and the work our students are involved in. Thank you to Miss Maddy and Mr Hynch who provided activities for classrooms and finished the week off with cake and a sausage sizzle for all.

MAD Night

What wonderfully talented musicians we have at our school. For those of you who missed it -our school band featured at the annual Narrabri High School MAD night last term. As usual Ms Rosemary Smith was well prepared and organised and our St FX Band was a real highlight of the night. They performed “I’m A Believer”, whilst being accompanied by a lead singer and then…received a standing ovation! Thank you to all the families who supported our students with rehearsals and organisation.

SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL (SAC) - ARE YOU INTERESTED?

Our School Advisory Council is seeking a parent representative to begin Term 3.

This tenure will consist of 2 meetings for the remainder of 2025 -  no longer than 60 minutes per meeting.  If you are interested,

please contact the School Office.

Have a great week!
