Term 2 week 9

We are just two weeks away from the end of term. With 11 weeks in total, it has certainly been a long and busy term — but one filled with growth, determination, and resilience.
Our students continue to work hard and show great perseverance in striving toward their learning goals. It has been wonderful to see their sense of pride and achievement. A sincere thank you to our dedicated teaching and support staff, who give their best each day to ensure every student is supported, encouraged, and given the opportunity to thrive.
School Photos – Wednesday 25th June
A reminder that school photos will take place next week on Wednesday 25th June. Please ensure your child is in full school uniform. Information flyers with ordering and payment instructions have been sent home with all students. If you did not receive a flyer, please contact the school office and we’ll ensure one is sent home with your child.
Winter Coat Drive – “Off Your Back”
Our Winter Coat Drive is well underway! We’re proud to be supporting the “Off Your Back” initiative, which provides coats to those in need during the colder months. If you have any pre-loved coats to donate, please drop them off at the front office. Donations will be accepted until 31st August, and I’ll ensure they are delivered to a local drop-off point. Thank you for your generosity.
Celebrating Sigrid
This week we gathered to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Sigrid’s baby. Sigrid is our much-loved speech therapist and a valued member of our therapy team. She has played a vital role in supporting both staff and students with speech and language development. Sigrid’s last day will be next Friday, and we wish her and her family all the very best as they prepare to welcome their precious little one.
Important Safety Reminders
• Pedestrian Access: Please ensure you enter the school grounds using the pedestrian gate only. For the safety of everyone, we ask that visitors on foot do not use the driveway entrance.
• Revised Speed Limit: Please note that the speed limit within school grounds has now been reduced from 10 km/h to 5 km/h, in line with Department of Education policy. We appreciate your cooperation in helping to keep our students and staff safe.
Thank you for your continued support. Stay warm, stay well, and we look forward to a strong finish to Term 2!
