WORLD WATERFALL DAY
Celebrated every year on June 16th to focus on the importance of fresh water and the importance of waterfalls to local communities living around them. This week students listened to the story, Why should I save water?
They learned that drought conditions means less water for gardens, rivers, ponds. We need water and so do our animals.
They brainstormed different ways they could save water such as have short showers, turn the tap off if you brush your teeth, do a full load of laundry, collect rainwater. Simple actions every day help to use less water and that means there's enough for everyone.
Lower Juniors made waterfalls to celebrate this natural wonder.
