Term 2 reporting

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Your child’s school report will be sent home next week. These reports are a valuable way for us to share insights into your child’s progress along their learning journey.

Understanding the Reports

Each report contains grades and comments reflecting your child’s strengths and areas for improvement this semester. Please remember that these results are just one part of how we share your child’s learning progress. We are committed to recognising your child’s growth and development, understanding that a report cannot capture every aspect of their achievements or experiences at school.

Supporting Your Child’s Learning

We encourage you to use the report to start positive conversations with your child—celebrating their successes and exploring ways they can continue to develop. For further support, the Department for Education offers helpful resources for understanding reports, the grading system, and ways you can help at home. These can be found via the Department for Education Parent Resources.

Communication and Support

The school report is one of several ways we communicate with you about your child’s education. Our staff welcome ongoing conversations and are here to support you. If you have any questions about your child’s report or would like to discuss their progress further, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

’d like to share a thought from educator Carol Dweck, who said:

"No matter what your ability is, effort is what ignites that ability and turns it into accomplishment."

This highlights our commitment to nurturing each child’s growth and potential, valuing their individual efforts and progress beyond a written report.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child’s learning.
