My name is Caitlin Charles, I am a proud Wemba Wemba and Ngarrindjeri woman.

I graduated from Western Heights in 2024. I am now working at the school, training as a First Nations Support Worker. I did my first creation on the Falcons' playing jersey in 2022 which was worn this year 2025, by the Falcons Football club and the Geelong teams in the Vline cup.

Macie and I are very honoured to have designed the Year 12 2026 jumper, which my brother, William Charles, will also be wearing.

My design was created using the number 6. It symbolises how the Year 12 cohort rise above challenges by growing in their learning, forging meaningful connections, sharing their journeys, and pursuing the pathways they have chosen.

My name's Macie Hepburn, I am a proud Gubbi Gubbi woman.

I'm a former Western Heights student and now working at Western Heights training as a First Nations support staff. I have been doing art for as long as I can remember. It has always been a big part of who I am and what I love.

When Caitlin and I were first approached for our art to be on the 2026 year 12 jumper we felt extremely grateful for the opportunity to share with others our passion for our culture and our art.

For my part in designing this piece, I created the 2. The meaning behind my work is based around our school community, all coming from diverse families, each with their own backgrounds and dreams, yet we all come together as one. United in hope and shared growth, success, and aspirations.

When we started designing the Year 12 jumpers for the Class of 2026, we wanted something that felt unique and meaningful. We were inspired to include an Aboriginal design to acknowledge and celebrate the culture of the land we learn on. Caitlin and Macie have done an amazing job bringing this vision to life. We’re really proud of the final designs, what they represent, and how they reflect us as a cohort. We can’t wait to see them around the school!
