Last day of term- early finish 2:30pm
A reminder to all families that Term 3 concludes on Friday, 18th September, with students finishing school at 2:30pm.
We ask families to please make arrangements to collect their children one hour earlier than our usual finishing time.
For families requiring after-school care, TeamKids will be operating as normal from 2:30pm and will be available to supervise students until their usual collection time.
Term 4 begins on Monday 5th October.
Footy Colours and Pie Day
We’re finishing Term 3 with one of our favourite SKiPPS traditions: Footy Colours Day!
On the final day of term, students, staff and family members are invited to wear the jersey, scarf or colours of their favourite team. While we expect to see plenty of AFL colours, supporters of all sports and teams are very welcome to join in.
Reminder: No sushi this Friday 18th September
If you have not already ordered your child a pie or sausage roll for lunch through the SKIPPA Pie Lunch offer (released in previous newsletters), please ensure you pack lunch for child.
CCTV at our school
St Kilda Park Primary School has decided to use a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system at our school.
Our school has an obligation to ensure the school environment is safe and secure, and fulfil our duty of care to students, staff and visitors. The CCTV system will assist our school to fulfil these obligations and to prevent and manage other inappropriate behaviour on school grounds. CCTV will also provide enhanced capability to protect our school’s assets against vandalism and theft.
We will follow Department of Education policy requirements for the design, installation, management and use of the CCTV systems. This policy is available at: CCTV in Schools – Installation and Management.
We will also place a CCTV Privacy Notice on our school website with more information about our school’s use of CCTV before it is rolled out befofre the start of the 2027 school year.

2026 Parent Opinion Survey
Families should have recently received an email inviting them to complete the 2026 Parent/Carer Opinion Survey. This email includes the link and login details required to complete the survey.
The survey takes approximately 20 minutes and provides valuable feedback to help guide our school planning and improvement. We encourage families to log in and complete the survey by Friday 18 September.

Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Success
A huge thank you to the SKiPPA volunteers who gave up part of their weekend to run our Bunnings sausage sizzle on Sunday 13 September.
Thanks to the generosity and hard work of our families, the event raised an outstanding $2,700 for our school. These funds will help us continue providing the resources, facilities and experiences our students deserve.
A special thank you to Anna and Panxo for coordinating and running the day, and to every volunteer who helped make it such a success. We are very fortunate to have such a generous and supportive parent community.
Walk & Wheel Month at SKiPPS
October is Walk & Wheel Month at SKiPPS, a great opportunity for our school community to celebrate active travel and find more ways to walk, ride or wheel to school.
Travelling actively to school is a wonderful way for students to start the day feeling energised, alert and ready to learn. It also provides an opportunity to get some daily exercise, enjoy time outdoors, develop road-safety skills and connect with friends and the local community. Choosing active travel also helps reduce traffic around the school and is better for our environment.
To celebrate, we will be holding our Ride to School Day on Thursday 30 October! Students are encouraged to ride their bikes or scooters to school so they can participate in the bike circuit. Classes with the most active travellers over the month of October will get to enjoy making their own smoothies on our smoothie bike!
We look forward to seeing lots of bikes, scooters and happy walkers and wheelers as we celebrate the benefits of getting active on the journey to school during October.
An Evening in Memory of Eleanor Bryant
The SKiPPS community is invited to a special evening celebrating the life and legacy of former SKiPPS parent Eleanor Bryant, who tragically lost her life in an accident in November 2025.
The event will feature drinks, canapés, live music and auctions at the Roof Garden at Flemington Racecourse. Funds raised will support scholarships for rural students studying allied health and early childhood education, continuing Eleanor’s commitment to care and service in regional communities.
