Library News

This is the final library contribution from the portable!  Thank you for all those returned books.  This has helped us pack up and distribute resources to Wanganui, McGuire and Mooroopna.  Chances are you will find a Shepparton High School book on their library shelves when you visit in 2020. 

Remember the Goulburn Valley Regional Libraries have all the same books, so join up – it’s free.  You can use their resources over the holidays, especially if you are part-way through a series. They also have eBooks, Borrow Box (talking books) and Kanopy – a 10 movies per month per library card arrangement.

The Manga collection has been shared between the three campus’ plus each school has their own collection.  You will also find new Manga series.   

Case Closed by Gosho Aoyama.  This series has been increased from book six to 20 for Manga enthusiasts.  It’s Conan versus the Phantom Thief!  Who is this mysterious masked man and why does he know Conan’s true identity?  Great reading and light relief from all that revision and exam preparation!  This series is going to Wanganui.

Changing Gear by Scot Gardner.  This book has been nominated for the prestigious INKY Awards in 2019.   Merrick Hilton’s done a runner.  His parents think he’s studying for his Year Twelve exams, but the real world has been calling for months and he can’t ignore it any longer.  This is a vivid story of a teenage boy and the road trip that clears his head.  This book is going to Wanganui.

The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle series by Rick Riordan.  There are several books in this series and these will find a home at McGuire.

The Keys to the Kingdom: Superior Saturday series (there are seven books in this series by Garth Nix.  These books will also be located at McGuire.

Skulduggery Pleasant: Playing with Fire by Derek Landy is also going to Mooroopna. The series is building, there are nine books so far and they are very popular.

Defy the stars by Claudia Gray.  This is the first book in a science fiction (sci fi) series and full of unexpected twists.  The three books so far in this series will be located at Mooroopna.
