Walk to School
Thank you and well done to all students and families who participated in Walk to School October. We have had lots of active walking, riding and scooting to school over the month. The council have picked up all entry forms from challenge cards, good luck to all students who completed the challenges over the month of October and entered their card. Gr 5/6 Cricket Carnival Day
Today our Gr 5/6 cricket teams competed in a carnival day at Fairbairn Park, organized through Cricket Victoria. All our teams had a great day and played some very exciting cricket. Our Girls team won their final against North Melbourne and the boys finished the carnival off in an exciting all MPW match. In an extremely tight contest, MPW Blue came away winners by 4 runs!! Congrats to MPW Blue and our Girls team who will now play in the North West Metro Finals on Friday 29th November.
A big thank you to Abby & Fiona for coaching, scoring and umpiring for our teams on the day.
Rotational Sport
The Gr 5/6’s have begun our bi-annual Rotational Sport tournament. The students have been split up into 12 teams and compete each week in games of Tchoukball, Swap Ball, Handball, Cross Over Tag, Rickard’s Rounders and Mat Ball. The teams are then awarded points for the results of the game, teamwork and sporting attitude. After 3 weeks we have Gucci Flip Flops and Teamwork Dreamwork in the lead on 24pts followed by Taco Terminators 23 pts. We look forward to the final week of competition.

Amelie W from Room 7 is playing in the Regional Finals for School Sports Victoria in golf today, hoping to make it into the state finals in two weeks time. Congratulations on making the Regional Finals and good luck for today.
