School Satisfaction Surveys

Last week, I received the results of the St Patrick's school satisfaction surveys.  This survey, conducted by an outside provider, surveys parents, staff and students across the schools in the Armidale diocese.  The results were strongly positive and affirming of our school from our parents:

Parents responded very positively with the educational opportunities provided for their children and commented on the safe & happy school environment.  There were numerous positive comments, including:

Lovely caring school. Level of pastoral care. It is a friendly community.

All the children know each other and interact.  I feel the smaller class sizes benefits my children and allows for greater attention. The strong sense of care, respect and closeness.

St Pats is a small school focused on not just the education of our children but also their personal and psychological welfare, far beyond any other education institution I have experienced.  Wonderfully resourced. Specialised music program. Strong focus on literacy. The latest technological apparatus available, the rooms and amenities are current and well maintained, as is the play area and sports facilities.

Our student satisfaction surveys were completed by students in Years 4/5/6 and were also very positive.  Comments include:

The teachers are very nice and the facilities are good. The best thing at this school are the students and the playground. I would recommend this school to other because the teachers are lovely and awesome and the people are super nice and they teach you things you don't know already and help you a heap.  The best thing is there are a lot of sporting activities. The teachers are great and everybody is very inclusive. The school also has very safe rules and also this school has great resources and supplies.

The staff surveys expressed a pleasing satisfaction working at St Patrick's:

The collaboration with others (executives, teachers/teacher aides) as to students' progress.

It is a happy and friendly place to come to work.

I feel supported to do my job well.

The people at St Patrick's.

Along with the positive feedback came some constructive suggestions on how to further improve our school which will be useful moving forward into 2022.  I would like to thank the parents, staff and students for their feedback, providing us with data on which to reflect and plan for the future.
