COMMUNICATION

The best & fastest way to contact us if you have a specific question about your child’s learning or their welfare at school is to search for your child’s Learning Mentor in Compass and email them direct. The Learning Mentor will then respond via email or phone. Please note our response policy:

 

"Staff at Rowville Secondary College will endeavour to respond to parent emails within 24 – 48 hours. However, staff are not expected to respond in this timeframe during weekends and term breaks."

SECOND HAND UNIFORM SHOP

The shop is manned by volunteer parents from 2.30pm - 3.30pm at the Western Campus, on the following dates:

  • Thursday 19th July
  • Thursday 2nd August
  • Thursday 6th September.

Cash & card facilities available.

 

IMPORTANT: Please note we do not sell second hand RSA & RIA uniforms.

CANTEEN

The canteen is open everyday.

  • Eastern Campus 7.45am – 3.30pm
  • Western Campus 8.30am – 2.00pm

LIBRARY

There is a library on each campus, where students can study, borrow books and equipment, socialise at lunchtime and use the computers.

PATHWAYS

At Rowville Secondary College, we understand and recognise the diverse needs of each student and their individual future aspirations and direction. Therefore, the college provides a variety of pathways students are able to undertake including:

  • VCE – Victorian Certificate of Education
  • VCAL – Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning
  • SBAT – School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships
  • VET – Vocational Education and Training

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PROGRAM

All students at Rowville Secondary College have the opportunity to learn an instrument. "Music provides so many possibilities to empower students and allow them to collaborate and express themselves" says Damien Mizzi, Director of Music.

We have launched our first ever RIA Eisteddfod which is open to all Victorian primary and secondary school students.  Please click here for competition & entry details

RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS

Rowville Secondary College will be running the Respectful Relationships initiative which will be delivered through our ConnectEd program in Term 2 and Term 3 to all students. As was the case in 2016 and 2017 teachers will be supported to deliver the initiative with age-appropriate teaching and learning materials. More information click here.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAM

We welcome and encourage students to our college from a variety of countries. Students are encouraged to become confident while acquiring knowledge and skills that are valued internationally, enabling them to undertake tertiary study or other pathways in Australia or overseas.
