Here are 2 stories from our Naranga Therapy collection.

Enjoy watching, reading and exploring these stories.  Practice calm breathing.  Talk about what you would do if what happens in the stories, happened to you. Pause and re-watch as much as you like.

1. The Monsters Inside by Belinda O'Brien

Good for: social-emotional self-regulation, emotion labelling, calm breathing strategy, social communication, managing conflict / problem solving

Tip: Practice calm breathing with Jack as you read.

Good for: social-emotional self-regulation, emotion labelling, social communication, managing conflict & problem solving, friendship skills, personal likes/dislikes, tone of voice, facial expression

Tip: Read the story and try the 3 activities to try below.

 

Activities

1. Do the animal challenge at the end of the video.

2. How are Hector and Hummingbird feeling in the story.  Use the Kimochis board to help choose.

3. What's something that YOU find annoying?  Draw some pictures of the things you do to calm down.  You can use the template attached below.
