30 minute activities

  • Go for a ride – if you have an App you can track how far you have ridden.  Keep recording your Activity log and see how your fitness improves.
  • Yoga – have fun with Cosmic Kids Yoga
  • Meditation – Zen Den “Superpower Listening” https://shorturl.at/efgX7
  • Charades  - Both younger and older students will enjoy this indoor activity. Have kids guess animals, characters from books you’ve read together, and other concepts you have discussed. You can also have kids create charade cards: each child takes a couple of index cards and writes a charades action on it. Mix up the cards and pass them out when playing the game.
  • Freeze Dance Party - Most kids love to dance or just be silly, so this is a great way to get kids moving indoors. Play a CD or stream music on a computer, and let the kids shake it off. I’ve found this option is best for short periods of time, generally no more than 5-7 minutes: any longer and things start to get a little crazy! Pause the song & see if they can freeze!

Exercise of the week. Squats.  See how many you can do. Don’t rush, as technique is important. Do it every day this week & record your Personal Best!

Choose any or all of the above activities.  Don’t forget to fill in your PE log book each day!

We are up to week 2 of our Water Safety this week - go to your PE space on google classrooms for the link on Monday - Discover all things water safety as we explore the beach and find ocean creatures, lifesavers and rips! Learn how to stay safe by swimming between the red and yellow flags.  Check out the virtual swimming lessons on LSV's facebook every Thursday too!
