Naranga Special School is a Child Safe School.

Online learning presents new challenges.

We all know if our students can learn from home they must learn from home. While learning has changed, child safety remains  the priority of the whole school community. We would like to work with parents to keep all our students safe from abuse.

From Naranga staff to parents and carers at home, thank you so much for helping us keep our students safe online.

Here are some of the ways we are creating safe learning experiences.

1. We have a minimum of 2 educators in each class.

2. We will not be delivering one on one tuition to students.

3. All staff have completed mandatory reporting training offered by DET.

4. We may need to record a session to ensure our students' safety in this unique environment. Before             the recording starts you will be asked to consent.

You can help us maintain a safe online learning space;

1. Keep your child in line of sight when they are online.

2. Listen to your child when they have concerns about online safety.

3. Report your concerns to the school as soon as you have any concerns.

4. Be mindful of your child's environment and how they present in an online class. People we can view         online need to be fully clothed, including our students.
