Further Resources and Supports for Families:

The last few weeks have been difficult for many families. There has been uncertainty about our health, children’s schooling and work security to mention just a few things.

 

The following places are able to offer support for families impacted by the COVID-19 measures currently being put into place and may be helpful for you to find support at this time.

 

Finances:

 

Free financial counselling is available through Better Place Australia - 1800 639 523.  They have an office in Frankston.

There is also financial support through the following government site: https://moneysmart.gov.au/

The National Debt Helpline: https://ndh.org.au/

 

 

Everyday Help:

 

Frankston Community Support 9783 7284 - they are able to provide you with vouchers and also have links to other supports on their website.      https://frankston.net/

Talk with a Centrelink Social Worker to explain your situation and they will be able to guide you as to what additional supports and loans etc. that may be available to you.

Mums Supporting Families in Need are a locally based charity who can assist families in need.

Mental Health:

Many of us are experiencing additional mental stress from the current situation.

Medicare has now approved telehealth consultations for psychology sessions should you need to seek a Mental Health Care Plan for more intensive support from a professional.
