Name: Jet Smith

Captain Role: School Captain

Interests: Dancing, biking, skating and fishing

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year? To make a significant change to the school to benefit myself and others.

 

Name: Stella Kiltorp

Captain Role: Vice Captain

Interests: gymnastics, netball and basketball

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year? Making the school an even better place and giving everyone a voice.

Captain Role: Vice Captain

Interests: Netball, running, reading and athletics

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year? I hope to be able to devote myself to my role this year and achieve everything I set my mind, heart, and soul to.

Interests: Drawing, gaming, cooking/baking.

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year? This year at Wembley I’m looking forward to making art more important and accessible.

 

Name: Ellie Holder

Captain Role: Peer mediator captain

Interests: Basketball, reading and dogs.

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year? Helping the school get the most out of peer mediation.

 

Name: Oscar Chetcuti

Captain Role: Kulin House Captain

Interests: Soccer, mountain biking, Fifa 23, shoes, basketball and skateboarding

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year? Winning the house cup and making a change to the school.

 

Name: Stephanie Dimevski

Captain Role: McIvor House Captain

Interests: Netball and swimming

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year? Helping everyone at W.P.S have more fun and make learning easier.

 

Name: I'm Rex Rees

Captain Role: I'm one of the school captains for 2023.

Interests: I love sports. I play basketball and I do karate. I go for runs on the weekend and I like playing soccer in the yard. I like to be creative and enjoy drawing, reading and writing. I have always loved helping people and making students and teachers happy. I have a great approach to challenges and I am always looking for ways to extend myself. 

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year? This year I am bringing a fresh pair of hands and a hard working mind to the captaincy team, and I am looking forward to helping make Wembley a better place to learn, teach and play. 

 

Name: Lily 

Captain Role: Cruickshank House Captain

Interests: Baking, cooking, journaling, hanging out with my friends, sports, learning a language

What am I looking forward to achieving : 

Helping other students in my house, winning the house cup.

 

Name: Aaira Rizvi

Captain Role: French Captain

Interests: Drawing, reading, and chess.

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year?

I am looking forward to achieving my aspirations of ensuring that all students enjoy their time at Wembley and are comfortable learning a new language. I would also like to support the new French teachers and give suggestions to enhance the learning environment. 

 

Name: Miles Walter Dowling

Captain role: I am the Peer Mediator Captain for Wembley Primary School. As Peer mediator captain, my role is to assist students to resolve their conflicts in the yard, as well as lead the peer mediators.

Interests: My interests include reading, playing with my little brother, Basketball/NBA, gaming, playing Magic the Gathering and Go Karting!

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year?:

I'm excited to implement some ideas for Wembley that I believe will have a positive impact on the yard, such as reviewing fellow Peer mediator locations, concentrating on problem areas such as the gaga pit, playground, and soccer pitch.

I'm also excited to engage positively with my fellow students, to encourage amicable, fair conflict resolution, maintaining a safe, happy, environment for all. I also wish to help students better respect each other and Wembley Primary School. Go Wembley!

 

Name: Zoe Scarlett Fazio

Captain role: Wellbeing Ambassador

Interests: My interests are reading thriller and horror novels, writing horror stories, cooking and creating handmade jewellery.

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role? 

My biggest goal that I am looking forward to in this role is to assist, support and comfort students with their issues. I am excited to notice progress in students' mental health as I have struggled with my mental health too. 

 

Name: Lola Crosbie-Paul

Captain Role: Environmental and Sustainability Captain.

Interests: Netball, pets, reading and hanging out with friends. 

What do you look forward to achieving in your role this year? 

I look forward to hopefully working on getting chickens, a worm farm, growing a wider ranged and healthier garden and a green day.  

 

Name: Alison Feely

Captain Role: Hi! My name is Alison Feely and I am a 2023 McIvor House Captain. 

Interests: I enjoy swimming, and playing hockey. My interests are politics, music, and journalism. I love politics because it is essentially the running of the place we call home. It is interesting, and has such a rich history that may have started off quite racist and sexist, but has since improved, although we have a long way to go. 

I love music, because it brings people together and is really inspiring. I play guitar, and I listen to triple j all the time.

What do you look forward to achieving in your role this year? 

The main thing I love is swimming. I look forward to representing the school at the upcoming district competition. I swim 4-5 times a week. My favourite stroke is butterfly. I hope to be an Olympian in the future, whilst going to uni to become a journalist.

I am looking forward to helping kids get involved in Team Vic, and helping people with disabilities get involved with sport. I am also part of the SSV Student Leaders Program this year, so I'll be asking lots of students about what they want to see improved in the SSV system.

Name: Olive Currow 

Captain Role: School Captain

Interests: Basketball, netball, shopping, fashion, Squishmallows, babysitting/looking after kids, learning and teaching, drawing, sport, hanging out with friends, sleepovers, dogs.

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year? I hope to help the preps settle into school, and help them get to know more about the leaders so they know that they can always come to us if they need something, or if a problem occurs. I am excited to be the leader of a wonderful school and to represent its greatness. Looking forward to having meetings about our leadership and what changes we could make to the school and how I could contribute.

 

Name: Annabelle Brown

Role: I am a P.E captain

Interests: I am interested in all things sports especially netball and flipping, I love animals and I also love my friends. 

What are you looking forward to achieving in your role this year? I’m looking forward to helping everyone at school and helping the school grow

 

Name: Maddi Sinclair

Captaincy Role: Visual Arts Captain 

Interests: Drawing, cooking, reading, writing, animals, and hanging out with friends!

What are you looking forward to achieve in your role this year? I am looking forward to making art more popular and fun! Organising more art days/weeks for the school to enjoy! 

 

Name: Charles Archer 

Captain Role: French Captain

Interests: My interests include: Basketball, Hockey, Piano, Guitar, Baking and Cooking.

What do you look forward to achieving in your role this year?

Bonjour mes amis! In this role, I would like to achieve many goals such as making French fun and engaging to learn at school.

I would like to help the French teachers organise an exciting French day celebrations with lots of French food.

I would also like to work with the other Captains and the Leadership Team to increase awareness of less known disabilities to help students (like me) with their challenges at school. Au revoir mes amis.
