Welcome back from the Assistant Principal
How wonderful it has been to see MPW students streaming through the gates each morning this past week. We hope that all our families have had a chance to recharge over the break, and that the time was well spent with family and friends.
As the autumnal weather sets in, we also hope that families had a chance to spend time outdoors over the holiday period, with spent time outdoors, time spent well.
We understand too, that adjusting to returning to school after an extended break can back be tricky for some of our students. If you find that you need some help navigating the ‘wobbles’ of returning to school, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your classroom teacher, team leader, Jarrod or myself.
Social & Emotional Learning
This term, during our Social & Emotional Learning lessons, students are considering such personal and social competencies as getting along with others, problem identification, evaluation, and management, and seeking and offering help. These lessons, remain the highlight of my week and I look forward to sharing with you some of our sessions.
Junior School Council
Our 2023 JSC representatives received their badges in the final week of last term. This term we commence our fortnightly JSC meetings. Every other Tuesday, our representatives will meet to provide feedback from their peers and to help guide discussions relating to their perspectives on MPW. This term we will explore the use of working parties to help provide authentic opportunities for our F – 6 students.
School Photos 2023
Our annual school photos have been taken and are now ready to order.
Arthur Reed Photos uses an online ordering system where you can view your photos prior to ordering.
On photo day all students received a flyer which includes a code unique to them.
You will require this 2023 code to register online and view your photos.
If you have already registered, you will receive an email or SMS from Arthur Reed Photos with a link to view your photos.
If you have not yet registered, please go to order.arphotos.com.au and enter your code to complete your order.
If you have misplaced your registration code, please contact the Arthur Reed Photos customer service team directly on 5243 4390 (option 1) or customerservice@arphotos.com.au
Please note that you will need to register online with your 2023 photo code to gain access to this year’s images.
All photo packages will be sent directly to your nominated address, so please ensure that you enter the correct details and nominated shipping address upon checkout.

Year 6-7 Transition
Yesterday families in year 6 received applications for placement for Year 7 for 2024. Applications are to be returned to the school by the 12th of May 2023.
Please find below the timeline for the transition process.
Lost Property
We currently have a very large amount of unclaimed lost property. If your child is missing any items of clothing, please take the time to go across to the lost property which is stored in the gym.
Clothing that remains unclaimed will be donated.
