Prep W have had an amazing start to the year!

LENT

In Religion we have been learning about LENT.  We reflected on ways that we can try to make ‘Good Choices’, just like Jesus did. We discussed different ways that we can help others and be kind. We wrote about good choices such as sharing, praying, taking turns with others and taking a friend to sick bay.

HOLY WEEK

We read about Palm Sunday and presented this special story to our school community. We were singing about Jesus riding a donkey into Jerusalem and how happy the crowds were to see him, waving branches and saying, ‘Hosanna to the King!’

We then read about Holy Thursday and discussed Jesus sharing a meal with his special friends, the disciples. Jesus shared bread and wine with them, after blessing them with a special prayer. We also saw Father Joe celebrating with bread and wine, when we went to Mass together.

Good Friday made us feel sad when Jesus died on the cross. The soldiers were so mean and hurt Him.  His cross looked so heavy, and the disciples were so upset.

Easter Sunday was an amazing story when we found out that Jesus was alive again! This story made us all feel very happy and excited, just like the disciples and Jesus’ friends.

We wish everyone a very happy and blessed Easter time with family and friends.
