Student Wellbeing

Student Engagement at Corpus Christi 2026
Welcome back
Welcome back to all students and their families. I hope everyone is well rested and took the time on the holidays to rest and enjoy precious time together - the perfect way to set up personal wellbeing as we move into Term 2.
This term, we will continue with our Social Emotional curriculum. The students in each of the year levels will focus on topics such as inclusion and diversity, saying NO to racism and acknowledging National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week. The students in Year 3-6 will also participate in the ACER Wellbeing Survey. This data will support us to understand the children's sense of wellbeing at school and allow us to identify any areas that children require further support in.
We will continue with Peaceful Kids and Miss Poropat will support junior students with social skills support strategies.
Child Safe Standard 3
As previously communicated, the Child Safe Standards outline 11 principles that help schools create safe and supportive environments for children. They focus on preventing harm, responding to concerns, and promoting student wellbeing, while building a strong culture of child safety.
At CCK, we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for every child. Throughout the year, we will continue to strengthen our practices by engaging with each of the 11 Child Safe Standards.
This week, our teachers came together and unpacked Child Safe Standard 3 - Children and young people are empowered about their rights, participate in decisions affecting them and are taken seriously. Please take the time to read and reflect on the attachment below which provides an overview.
Positive Behaviour for Learning
The weekly PBL rule is drawn from our Behaviour Matrix. Each week our children focus on a whole school rule that meets our five school expectations
This week’s PBL focus is:
We are RESPECTFUL
(Play Time)
We are learning to respect food choices, and take food waste home.
