Year 9 Camp
Last week our we held our City Experience Camp for 9A–9F: Students stayed in the CBD for one night and completed research for their inquiry unit.
Our City Experience Camp connected to the current learning being completed during Geography classes as students were researching what it meant to live in Melbourne and specific topics relating to our city.
Students were taken to the SkyDeck to observe the city during the evening, and students made the most of enjoying all the amazing food options within the city.

Year 10 Highlights
Our Year 10's have had a very busy start to Term 2, with many opportunities for students to get involved in a range of activities to boost their life skills.
Students have either participated in a full-day excursion through the Momentum program to METEC Drivers Ed or participated in our inaugural Connections Day, to support students with their future planning for subjects and careers.

Our Duke of Edinburgh students continued to work towards their Award with an overnight hike at the Cathedral Ranges.
Year 10 Exams
To help Year 10 students feel confident and well-prepared for their upcoming exams, a range of targeted Skill Booster sessions will be offered over the coming weeks. These sessions are designed to provide students with practical strategies and skills to strengthen their study habits and support their wellbeing during the exam period.
The following Skill Booster sessions are available for students to attend:
Organisational Skills & Motivation
Students will explore effective, evidence-based strategies for prioritising homework and managing their time efficiently. The session aims to help students make the most of their study time and feel more organised and in control of their workload.
Active Revision
This session focuses on how to revise effectively — not just what to study. Students will learn practical revision techniques that encourage active engagement with content and improve information retention.
EAL Support & Command Terms
EAL Support: Designed specifically for students with English as an Additional Language, this session provides strategies to build confidence and fluency when responding to exam questions.
Command Terms: Students will develop their understanding of common instructional verbs such as explain, compare, and evaluate. Learning how to respond accurately to these command terms is essential for producing targeted exam responses.
Stress Management
Students will be introduced to practical strategies for managing stress and anxiety in the lead-up to exams. These techniques are designed to help students maintain focus, reduce feelings of overwhelm, and support their overall wellbeing.
If you have any questions or would like further information about how to support your child during this busy period, please do not hesitate to contact the sub-school office.
Looking Ahead
As we start to look towards subject selection and course counselling for 2027, students will attend assemblies in Week 9 to receive important information about this process. Please keep an eye out on Compass for further communication.
Uniform Reminder
As the weather cools, a reminder that all students are expected to wear full and correct uniform. Details about the school uniform can be found on the Bob Stewart website.
