Wellbeing Snapshot - World Kindness Day
This Thursday, November 13th, is World Kindness Day!
Each November, World Kindness Day reminds us of the many opportunities we have to make a difference in someone’s life. If every Australian did just one act of kindness a day, that would add up to 9.1 billion acts of kindness every year- that’s 25 million acts of kindness on World Kindness Day alone!
It’s also a wonderful reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Kindness means being friendly, caring, and thoughtful toward others - it might be including someone new, offering to help, or simply using kind words.
Being kind doesn’t just help others - it also helps us feel happier and more connected. Kindness can brighten someone’s day and often inspires them to pass it on!
At home, families might like to:
💜 Write a note of appreciation to someone special.
💜 Make a “kindness jar” filled with ideas for kind deeds.
💜 Do something kind together, such as helping a neighbour or preparing a meal for someone in need.
💜 Send happy messages- leave positive sticky notes on mirrors, lunchboxes, or around the house.
💜 Collect some special non-perishable food items for the school’s food drive
💜 Donate a special wrapped gift to go under our school Christmas tree
Let’s all do our part to spread kindness across our school and community - not just on World Kindness Day, but every day!
Thanks,
The Wellbeing Team (Mrs Arthur, Melanie and Zoe)
