✨ P&C Term 3 Update ✨

Welcome to Term 3 from the P&C! We've got an exciting term ahead, packed with fun community events and fundraising opportunities to support our school. We'd love to see as many families involved as possible. Whether you can volunteer, donate or simply come along and join the fun, every contribution makes a difference.

🌈 Friday 14 August – Colour Run & Community BBQ

Get ready for Merri-Bek Primary School's very first Colour Run! Students will walk, jog or run through a colourful course while being showered with vibrant powder (made from 98% corn flour and 2% food colouring). The event runs from 1:30–3:00pm, with families invited to stay afterwards for a community picnic and BBQ until 3:45pm.

Students are encouraged to wear a white or any old  light-coloured T-shirt (that they don't mind getting colourful!) and will receive a free pair of sunglasses and headband on the day.

This year's fundraiser will help relocate historic local murals from the former Kangan site to our school in partnership with a local artist. Any additional funds raised will go towards new library furniture and improved school signage. While all students will participate in the Colour Run during the school day, fundraising is entirely optional.

We’re on track to raise $10,000 but we think we can get to $20,000 for these exciting projects.

Get involved:

🧁 Friday 28 August – Grade 1/2 Bake Sale

Described as ‘joyful mayhem’, the ever-popular end-of-term bake sale is back, this time hosted by our Grade 1/2 families!

We'll need volunteers to help set up, price and run the stall.

Grade 1/2 families: We'd love your baked goodies! Please drop them to the office on Friday morning. If needed, slice items beforehand or package them individually. Remember to label any reusable containers with your name so they can be returned. Please include an ingredients list. There's no need to add prices.

Individual treats such as cookies, slices, cupcakes, honey joys and other easy-to-sell goodies are always favourites.
