Principal's Update

We have had a busy and exciting start to Term 3, with students settling back into their learning routines and enjoying a range of celebrations and special events.

This Friday 24th July, our Foundation students will celebrate 100 Days of School—a wonderful milestone! Last week's assembly showcased just how much our Foundation students have grown and learned throughout the year. They should all be incredibly proud of themselves. If you missed their fantastic presentation, you can watch it on our Facebook page.

Please note that there will be no assembly next week due to our Parent/Teacher Interviews on Friday 31st July. A reminder that Friday 31st July is a pupil-free day, and families are encouraged to book an interview time for either Monday after school or Friday if you have not already done so. Parent/Teacher Interviews are a valuable opportunity to celebrate your child's progress and discuss their learning goals for the remainder of the year. 

Our Grade 5/6 Camp is fast approaching! If your child requires medication while on camp, please ensure it is brought to the school next week so it can be signed in and all required paperwork completed. Please note that medications cannot be accepted on the morning of camp.

Today, our Division Football teams proudly represented Kangaroo Flat Primary School, and at the time of writing this both the girls and boys are waiting to hear if they have made it into the finals as they have only lost one game each! We wish our Division Netball team all the very best for their competition next Wednesday. 

On Tuesday 4 August, we will acknowledge and celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day. Students will participate in classroom activities that recognise and celebrate the rich cultures, histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Industrial Action Reminder

A reminder to families that industrial action will be taking place tomorrow. As a result, there will be limited staff on site, and only Room 9 and Room 18 will be operating as normal.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support as we work through this disruption. Families of students in all other classes have already been notified of the arrangements.

Students in Room 9 and Room 18 are welcome to attend school as usual. However, if you choose to keep your child at home on this day, their attendance will not be negatively impacted.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our school. We look forward to another wonderful fortnight of learning, camps, celebrating achievements, and creating great opportunities for our students at Kangaroo Flat Primary School.
