Year 1 End of Year Excursion

To celebrate the end of the school year, the Year Ones will be going on a local excursion this Friday, 12th December. Students will travel by bus, departing Sacred Heart at 10:10am to go to COPACC to watch a movie. After the movie, the Year Ones will walk to Memorial Square for lunch, then continue on to the Colac Ten Pin Bowling Centre to enjoy a game of bowls. Students will return to school by 2:15pm.

Please ensure your child wears their sports uniform and school hat. They will also need to bring fruit, snacks, lunch, and a water bottle. Kindly apply sunscreen before your child leaves home.

Important Message: Due to the Year One students being on an excursion Friday, they will have their hot dog this Thursday. Students will not require lunch on this day.

Year 3 End of Year Excursion To celebrate the end of the school year, Year Three’s will be going on a local excursion on Wednesday 17th December. Students will travel by bus, departing Sacred Heart at 11:30am to go to COPACC to watch the movie “Zootopia 2”. Students will return to school by 2:10pm. Students will be supplied with a small popcorn, so please bring along your drink. Please ensure your child wears their sports uniform.

Year 4 End of Year Excursion

To celebrate the end of the school year, the Year 4 teachers have planned a special excursion for their students on Wednesday, 17th December. The day will include a visit to the Colac Botanic Gardens, followed by ten-pin bowling, and some playtime at Memorial Square. Students will be bused to the Botanic Gardens at 9:30am, will walk to ten-pin bowling, walk to memorial square and then bus back to school. Students will return to school at 1:30pm.

Students will need to bring a water bottle, hat, fruit and snacks.  Please ensure your child wears their sports uniform and has sunscreen applied.

Year 2 End of Year Excursion

To celebrate the end of the school year, the Year 2 teachers are currently planning a special excursion for their students. More information will be sent home once times and dates have been confirmed. 

 

Year 5 End of Year ExcursionTo celebrate the end of the school year, the Year 5 teachers have planned an active excursion for their students on Wednesday, 17th December. The day will include water polo at Heather’s Swim School and pickleball, volleyball and netball at Colac Indoor Sports Centre. Students will need to wear their sports uniform, and bring along their swimming gear e.g. bathers and towel. 

Students will walk to the activities, leaving school at 11.10am and returning at 1:50pm for a pizza lunch back at school.

Year 6 Lawn Bowls

On Tuesday 16th December, our Year 6 students will walk to the Colac Bowling Club (by the Lake) after our end of year school mass. Students will participate in a Lawn Bowls Session from 11:30am – 1:15pm. After lawn bowls, students will walk to the Memorial Square for lunch (which we be supplied by school.

After lunch and a social play, students will return to school by bus.

Year 6 Last Day Excursion

On Thursday 18th December, our Year 6 students will travel to Winchelsea to spend their last primary school day together at the Winchelsea Pool. The bus will leave Sacred Heart at 9:15am and return to school at 2:50pm. Students will need to wear their sports uniform and school hat and bring along their swimming gear.

Year 6 Camp

A huge thank-you to our Year 6 staff for the countless hours spent planning and preparing, the three day camp at Halls Gap. Our Year 6 students need to be congratulated for their active participation in the camp – they definitely all had a go at stepping out of their comfort zones, and should be extremely proud of themselves. Thanks also to Mark the bus driver and the parents who assisted on camp, we are very grateful to you all.
