Well, we have come to another end of a Term! Where has the time gone? It has been such an excellent term full of outstanding learning!
Today, we had our PBL reward to celebrate our excellent behaviour this term! We celebrated with free dress, a movie and snacks!
Last week, we had an incursion called 'Sticks and Stones'. The performance involved a student learning to control his body when he was feeling big emotions. The students learned many strategies and skills, such as finding and identifying a calm space in times of need and placing an activity they can do to calm themselves. Other skills were learnt, such as internet safety and what to do when you have trouble at school. It was a fantastic incursion, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the acting from the actors. In classrooms, students followed up their learning by discussing things they can do to calm themselves in times of need.
Danica- It was teaching us not to fight back physically, as two wrongs don't make a right.
Dylan- My favourite part was when they pretended to play the video games. I learned that I shouldn't trust people online if I don't know them.
Eli- I loved it!
Lexi K- I learned about cyber safety and how to be safe online.
Hudson- I really enjoyed it!
Bennett- I thought it was really good!
Maddi- I learned that if I am angry, I can put my hands in my pocket, walk away and ask for help.
Harry B- I learned about Cyber Safety and not to talk to people that I don't know.
Next term, we will have a few upcoming incursions.
