Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

What an incredible night we shared at last Friday’s St. Patrick’s Festival! 🍀

A heartfelt thank you to our entire community for coming along, bringing such great energy, and making the evening so special. From the music and laughter to the wonderful sense of connection, it truly was a celebration to remember.

Events like this don’t just happen—they are the result of an enormous amount of time, effort, and dedication behind the scenes. We would like to extend our sincere and special thanks to Maria Hogan and Helen Collins, our outstanding P&F Co-Presidents, whose leadership, enthusiasm, and commitment helped bring the festival to life. Your passion for our community shines through in everything you do.

Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing parent volunteers. A huge thank you to Kimberley Sichlau, Marie Facciolo, Jess Maya, Abbie Baker, Jo McCauley, Giselle Clarke, Liz Thompson, Mariah Loannidis, Bridget Gayle, Sally Lane, Zoe Russo, Amanda Johnson, Lauren Cole, Kirra Gridley, Bec Hoareau and all the other parents who generously gave their time to run stations and help bring the night to life.

While the P&F works hard to raise funds for our school, the Festival is about so much more than fundraising. It’s about creating joy for our students and bringing our entire school community together—and that’s exactly what we achieved.

We are also incredibly grateful to our Festival Committee, who worked tirelessly in the lead-up and on the night to ensure every detail was taken care of. Your teamwork, creativity, and willingness to go above and beyond made the event such a success.

To all our volunteers, supporters, and everyone who contributed in big and small ways—thank you. And to everyone who attended, danced, laughed, and celebrated with us, you are what makes our community so vibrant and strong.

I would also like to acknowledge the amazing St. Patrick's Staff for their continous support of our whole school events.

We are so lucky to be part of such a supportive and spirited community. Thank you again for making the night unforgettable—we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Year 6 Canberra Camp

This week our Year 6 students have been on their week long camp in Canberra, where they had the opportunity to explore all that the city has to offer.

I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the students for their exemplary behaviour and outstanding manners throughout the trip. They have received numerous compliments from our presenters and guides regarding the students' thoughtful questions and active engagement. They truly represented the St. Patrick's community with pride and distinction.

A special thank you goes to the dedicated staff who supported and cared for the students throughout the week: Mr Anthony Speranza, Mr Matt Hale, Mrs Bianca Latto, Mrs Fiona Hossack, Miss Sarah Crough, Mrs Carol Opie, Miss Joanna Sison.

Their commitment and teamwork ensured a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.

Students from our school have recently undertaken an education tour of the national capital. Students were given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage, and democracy. The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government contributed $45 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs. The rebate is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion.

Sibling - Prep 2027 Enrolments and Open Days

We are pleased to announce that sibling enrolments for Prep 2027 are now open.

We currently have 39 Sibling enrolments for 2027!

Application forms are available on our school website or can be collected directly from the school office.

To assist prospective families, we are hosting a series of Open Days on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, 1st April
  • 9.00am to 11.00am

Private tours can also be arranged by appointment through the office.

Enrolment Priority & Process As per our established enrolment policy, priority is given to current families. Following this, places are allocated to baptised Catholic children residing within our designated boundaries, followed by baptised Catholics outside our boundaries, subject to availability.

For the 2027 academic year, we anticipate forming three Prep classes with approximately 22–23 students per class.

Next Steps: Sibling enrolment interviews will be conducted throughout Term 1. This timeline ensures we can accurately determine the number of remaining places available for new families in the coming months.
