Term 2 Wrap Up ..............

It’s been wonderful spending time in classrooms and seeing students put the finishing touches on their Semester One learning. There’s a real sense of pride in what they’ve achieved, and while it’s been a busy and productive term, everyone is certainly looking forward to a well-earned break.

We’ve shared so many great moments this term—Mother’s Day celebrations, the Junior School swimming program, Junior School camp, our cross-country event, and the ongoing work education programs in the senior school. All of these experiences have helped create an energetic and engaging learning environment for our students.

On Wednesday, we had school photo day, and students were excited to show off their new uniforms featuring our new school logo. A special shout-out to Maggie, who took pride of place front and center in the whole-school photo! Maggie has also been working hard on mastering pressing the greeting button in the mornings.

Our senior students are continuing to enjoy their Friday morning social time, with cooperative games quickly becoming a favourite part of the week.

The Wednesday Horticulture group has been hard at work designing and planning new garden beds. It’s been fantastic to see students so involved—sharing ideas and helping shape our school garden.

We’re also very excited to share that our new school building has been nominated for the Master Builders School Awards. It’s a wonderful recognition of the quality and design of this fantastic space.

We’re looking forward to seeing many of you at our final assembly on Friday as we celebrate our SRC and come together as a school community.

Thank you for your ongoing support throughout the term.  Wishing everyone a happy, safe and relaxing break.

Outdoor Education Group

Our Outdoor Education group has had an incredible semester filled with adventure, learning and personal growth. Students have developed a wide range of outdoor skills, including pitching tents, cooking on Trangia's, fishing, stand-up paddle boarding, rock climbing and understanding the importance of nutrition and fueling their bodies. Through long walks, new challenges and hands-on experiences, every student has stepped outside their comfort zone and shown resilience, determination and teamwork. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow throughout the semester, and I am incredibly proud of the effort, courage and positive attitude each student has brought to every session.

Parent Information – Free Child Safety Sessions

We would like to share an important opportunity from Frankston City Council that supports families in building confidence and skills around child safety.

Proactive prevention of child sexual abuse is essential in addressing the ever-increasing rates of harm against children. One of the most effective ways to support prevention is by helping parents, carers, and grandparents develop the skills, knowledge, language, and confidence to have regular, brief, and natural conversations with children about their body and personal safety.

In partnership with the South East Centre Against Sexual Assault (SECASA), Frankston City Council is offering a series of free, informal, and practical sessions for community members.

These sessions aim to:

  • Reduce fear and uncertainty around discussing personal safety with children
  • Demonstrate how simple and natural these conversations can be
  • Provide practical strategies using age-appropriate story books, nursery rhymes, and everyday activities

Each session will also include:

  • A showcase of relevant children’s books available through Frankston City Libraries
  • A curated selection of additional recommended resources
  • Free materials for families to use at home
  • Access to Child Body Safety Kits, which will be available at participating community centers

We encourage all interested families to take advantage of this valuable opportunity to build confidence in supporting children’s safety and wellbeing.

Please see the attached flyer for session dates and locations.
