Principal's Message
We have made a positive start to Term 3 and I have enjoyed seeing our students reconnect with their friends and teachers after the school holidays. They have settled back into their classroom routines and continue to do their best every day.

I want to thank our families for their continued support for our teachers and education support staff during this period of industrial action. All of our staff are committed to working together to support all students at our school. I will continue to provide you with updates as they become available.
On Monday 27 July at approximately 2:00 pm, the Australian Government will conduct a national test of the new AusAlert emergency warning system.
During the test, compatible mobile phones, tablets and smart watches across Australia will receive a Critical Alert, which includes:
- a loud siren-like sound (approximately 10 seconds)
- Vibration
- a message on the screen stating that it is a TEST.
No action is required during the test. This is simply a nationwide practice to ensure the emergency warning system is working correctly before it is introduced later this year.
As a school, we have reminded students that personal devices should not be brought to school. However, we recognise that some students wear cellular-enabled safety watches or have mobile phones for travel to and from school.
To minimise disruption, we ask families, where possible, to:
- place cellular-enabled watches into Aeroplane Mode before school;
- ensure mobile phones brought for safety remain switched off or in Aeroplane Mode throughout the school day.
For our Year 5 and Year 6 BYOD students, teachers will support students to place their devices into Aeroplane Mode before lunch, ahead of the scheduled test.
Teachers will also speak with students beforehand so they understand what may happen and know there is nothing to worry about if they do hear the alert.

Congratulations to Margaery (Year 2)
Margaery recently competed at the UCI BMX Racing World Championships in Brisbane and achieved an incredible result, finishing as the World 2 (W2) in the 8 Girls category.
The UCI BMX Racing World Championships are highly competitive, Margaery competed against the best riders from across Australia and other countries including the USA, China and Colombia. She handled the pressure exceptionally well, winning a silver medal for Australia and achieving a World No. 2 ranking in the 2026 8 Girls category.
Margaery has been working hard at training and has challenged herself in some very difficult races.
We are all so very proud of her achievements.
