Bunnings Sausage Sizzle
A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who came down the Delacombe Bunnings on Sunday to help with our sausage sizzle fundraiser. We most definitely had four seasons in one day (which wasn’t ideal for sausage sales!), however we pushed through and had a really successful day. We haven’t got an official tally yet, however we will have raised well over $1500 in profit, which is a huge effort! We have some great ideas as to how these funds will be used, including helping to fit out our brand new sustainability shed. A specific thank you must go to Kylie Smith for making the event happen, and to Tracey Coats in the canteen for her ordering and organisation. If you happen to see either of these two ladies this week, please give them a massive thank you on behalf of the Scotsburn Campus.
School Magazine - Last Orders
Don’t forget to put your order in for this year’s school magazine! It is available to order via QKR for $15.00. Orders will remain open until midnight on 22 November.
P-2 Sports Day
The Prep - 2 Sports Day has been rescheduled for next Tuesday 26 November. Students are encouraged to wear their house colours on the day. SC1 Grade 1 & 2s session will be between 9:30 - 10:50 a.m. and the SC1 Preps will be between 11:40 am 1:00pm. Parents are more than welcome to come along and watch. We will start and finish the day at the Buninyong Campus. Please meet Mrs. Inglis in the courtyard at 8:45am. Students will be dismissed from the courtyard again at the end of the school day at 3:30pm. Please keep an eye out on Compass for further information.
2025 Scholarship Programs
Students currently in grades 3-5 can now apply to participate in any of the scholarship programs or STEM Extension for 2025. To apply, students need to write a letter to Mrs. Phillips explaining why they would like to participate and why they would be a strong candidate. The flyers with all the information on what scholarships are available, as well as how to apply were posted via Compass on Monday, November 4th. Students are also welcome to attach supporting documentation, which might include relevant samples of their work or photos showing their involvement in the relevant field.
See Mr. Morgan or Mrs. Anderson for more information!
Grade 6 Jumpers 2025
A reminder to our Grade 5 parents that our 2024 Grade 6 jackets are now at the Buninyong office ready to try on and order. If you haven’t done so already, please head down and try one on.
Scotsburn Parent Volunteering Roster
Please see the link below for our new Term 4 Parent Volunteer Roster. We would love to get back into the swing of things with our parent volunteering routine, and with such a busy term ahead, all help would be appreciated. If you have any time available to help out, we would be very grateful!

Grandparents and Special Friends Day - 1st December
A reminder to everyone we have our Grandparents and Special Friends Day on December 1. This is always a big event and one of the highlights on the school calendar. If your children have grandparents that can attend, please invite them along, but if not, they are welcome to invite anyone else that is special to them…that might even be you.
Our guests are invited to come along between 9am and 11am to visit classrooms and explore the grounds.
At 11am our visitors will be invited to the old building for some morning tea and a chat. In the past we have had parents bring along a plate, resulting in an amazing spread for our grandparents to enjoy. We’d like to do the same again and invite all families to send something along. We also need a few adults to help organise and serve morning tea. Please let Mrs Anderson or Mr Morgan know if you are able to help.
We look forward to a wonderful morning.
3/4 Wyuna Queenscliff Camp - 4th - 5th December
The Grade 3/4 Camp for our Scotsburn students is fast approaching. For Scotsburn Grade 3s and 4s, it will be in Week 9, on Wednesday 4th December and Thursday 5th December. Our 3/4 students will join the Buninyong Grade 4 students to travel to Queenscliff for 2 days of fun and excitement. Our students will be well prepared in the lead up to the camp and will be wonderfully cared for by the Grade 4 staff at the Buninyong Campus. Unfortunately, Mr Morgan will be unable to attend as he is required back at school with the Grade 5/6 students, however we know they are in great hands.
All camp notes, medical forms and dietary requirements have been handed out and taken home. Please return these to Mr Morgan ASAP. The final payment and consent is now also on Compass.
If you have any questions about the camp, please come and see Mr Morgan.
Scotsburn Sleepover - 12th - 13th December
Our whole campus sleepover is certainly creeping up on us! This overnight event will foster team building, outdoor engagement, as well as create lasting memories for all children. Students will go home after school to gather their belongings and prepare for the sleepover. Students are then invited to return to school at 6pm. Tea will be provided on the night along with breakfast, snacks, and lunch the following day. All activities will take place within the Scotsburn Campus.
The event will be on Compass later this week. Please make sure to provide consent and payment to book your child’s spot!
End of Year Scotsburn Celebration and Picnic - KEEP IN THE CALENDAR!
Please keep in your diary the date for our end of year Scotsburn Concert and Picnic - Monday 16th December. As was the case last year, we will be running the concert between 2:00pm - 3:30pm. Over the next month, you will receive lots more information regarding end of year arrangements, however we wanted to have this one locked in the calendar for everyone!
Scotsburn Intercampus Travel At times, Scotsburn students will be transported between campuses in order to attend classes, assemblies, special days and events. On most occasions, transport required through the day will be by bus and occasionally private car for smaller groups of students. Parents may be asked to drop off or collect from the Buninyong campus if sessions are at the beginning or ending of a day.
We will always let you know of any upcoming travel arrangements via our newsletter, Compass, or via phone for smaller, more specific travel arrangements.
If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding intercampus travel, please contact your child’s teacher. |
