Ambulance Appreciation Day

Last Friday 15 September the Captains were lucky enough to go to Bulli Ambulance station to celebrate Ambulance Appreciation Day.

We had a wonderful time experiencing and learning about the NSW Ambulance and all the great things they have achieved over the many years of their service. Natalia, Hayes and Hannah traveled by foot to the Ambulance station located on Hospital Road. It was a lovely ceremony celebrating the great work of the Australian ambulance force and the efforts they take to keep people safe. It was very interesting and inspiring to hear all the acts of bravery our Ambulance and Paramedics have done throughout the year and the different ways they serve the community.

It was a morning that the captains and Mr Matthews will remember on top of it all the teddy bear mascot was a fun add on to our morning.

Kinder PDHPE

This term, Kindergarten students have been learning about respectful relationships and child protection/safety education as part of the Personal Development Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) program. To support with this learning, Kindergarten parents who work in an Emergency Service Role visited our classrooms on Thursday and shared important information about their profession, what the uniform of this profession looks like and how they protect individuals and keep them safe.

On behalf of the Kindergarten students and teachers, we would like to say a big THANK YOU to Mr Bateman, Mr Buchan, Mr Jaeschke, Mr McGoldrick, Mr McLaren, Mr Norrie, and Mrs Stead.

We had a fantastic afternoon and greatly appreciate your time and effort.

Lunch Time Activities Term 4 - CLOSES TOMORROW

Once again we will be running lunchtime activities for the students in Term 4. These structured activities give students the opportunity to join in play where they feel connected and part of a group that shares similar interests. In addition to these activities, Library activities will continue (Mon/Tue) and our normal playground equipment and outdoor games will also be made available, along with utilising Park spaces during breaks.

If your child would like to take part in the additional lunchtime activities during Term 4, please complete the attached form by tomorrow, Friday 22 September. Please note that there is an expectation that your child will commit and attend the activity he/she has been allocated so please discuss this with them before registration, as these will be part of our lunchtime teacher supervision roster.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs Grose and Mr Walker.
