What’s been happening?
Bulk Buy Toilet Paper Campaign
Huge thank you to Ange Perkin who ran the Bulk Toilet Paper Fundraiser in April. An amazing effort coordinating orders and deliveries. Thank you to everyone who ordered their toilet paper, paper towel and tissues through the school.
Together we raised $635 for our school.
Federal Election
In case you missed it—Election Day at Merri-bek Primary was a massive success!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community—whether through time, donations, good vibes or support—we raised an astounding $5870 for our school!
From 8am, the buzz was real. The democracy sausage queue was already humming thanks to Wes (aka the Tong Master), and the breakfast snags were flying off the grill. Kids were scoring bargains at the book and toy stalls, and our two tables stacked with lovingly baked goods were completely sold out in just a couple hours. Huge thanks to George (and coffee donated by Lobbs) for keeping everyone caffeinated and cheerful while families lingered in the sunshine soaking up the great atmosphere. Channel 9 News even popped down, noting we had the best setup in town.
Behind it all, our unstoppable P&C President, Nell, kept the entire event running smoothly from start to finish.
It truly took a village.
A heartfelt thank you to every single person who donated items, baked delicious treats, volunteered their time, or simply came down to spend a few dollars and enjoy the day.
And an extra special shout-out to the amazing volunteers who gave their time in the lead-up and on the day itself—we couldn't have done it without you!

Mother’s Day / Special Person’s Day
We’re excited to celebrate Mother’s Day and Special Person’s Day on 6 May with a range of wonderful activities, including a whole-school breakfast, our much-loved gift stall, and a hamper raffle!
We’ve already received so many generous donations — from thoughtful items to beautiful homemade goods — and we’re incredibly grateful to the volunteers who are giving their time to help run the breakfast and stall.
