G’day Weekend Mass
On Sunday 19th October, the Brennan community (Years 5 & 6) will support the St Mary’s Parish ‘G’day Weekend’ Mass at 9.30am. Learners have been chosen to read the Prayers of the Faithful, process with the Offertory gifts and lead the singing for the final hymn/song.
We look forward to welcoming you to this Mass as we celebrate together and support each other as a faith-filled community.
Grandparents Day
On Friday 24th October at 11.30am we will welcome our learner’s grandparents and special people as we celebrate the important and valuable role they play in the lives of our learners. Our learners are very excited about the opportunity to spend time with you in their classrooms as they spend some time ‘giving back’ to you who have given so much to them.
Socktober
During Mission month we are raising awareness of those who are less fortunate than ourselves, particularly those in countries where resources are not easily accessible or available.
Each week learners are bringing odd and old socks to school as Year levels compete against Year levels. Each Thursday the tally of socks will be recorded and shared! The tally is located below!
These socks will be formed into ‘sock-balls’ in each classroom where a learner from each classroom will compete against a staff member for a ‘Knee-Up Challenge’ on Wednesday 29th October at recess.
Gold coin donation for Catholic Mission
On Children’s Mission Day, Wednesday 22nd October, learners are asked to wear odd socks and to donate a gold coin which will support Catholic Mission and their work.
St Mary’s Choir
On Wednesday 22nd October St Mary’s Choir will ‘hit the road’ visiting the residents at Wharparilla Lodge to share their love of song and music. The Choir will then travel to St Mary’s Church to gather at Mass and lead the congregation in song. This term in our Religious Education curriculum we are learning about Mission and our outreach to others. Bringing joy to others is just one example of Mission.
Choir member’s Attire
The Choir Director is seeking an enthusiastic seamstress or two to make 25 Choral gowns for St Mary’s Choir. The gown is a simple smock design in a blue fabric. Fabric, elastic and cotton will be provided along with much gratitude.
The Choir has a number of engagements scheduled for the remainder of the Term. Whilst our voices are in top form, we would like our Choral outfits to try to match our look with our sound!
Please contact Colleen Hampson if you can assist with this request.

Mass and Liturgy Timetable: Term 4 2025.
Please place these dates in your calendar and join us as we celebrate together. Our learners and staff welcome your contributions and presence.
