News from Year Four and Five
The One and Only Ivan projects
Over the next four weeks, the students are working on 4 tasks they have chosen from a matrix of 48 possible choices for their literacy time. The children are excited as these tasks offer a range of opportunities from various learning styles such as verbal, mathematical, musical, artistic, naturalistic, interpersonal and intra-personal. Here are some of the tasks they have been working on this week.
You're invited- The grade 4 / 5 Assembly
Just letting you all know, our class will be hosting the assembly next week and we will be showcasing some of their class work. In addition to this, we will be sharing with you all some of the exciting extracurricular events that have been going on recently.
More Incursions and Excursions
Again for this week, our class has had a lot of extracurricular activities.
On Tuesday we had our first Rugby session with a coach from the Melbourne Storm Rugby team. The children learned a lot about discipline and copying the correct technique and even had a mini-game.
Busy, Busy, Busy
This Wednesday we had Book Week dress-up parade, a Cyber Safety Workshop run by the Victorian Police as well as the soccer tournament in the afternoon. What a busy but fun-filled day. Everyone dressed to impress and handled the day really well as they changed into their house colors for a play soccer play-off. Here are some of the highlights of the day.

Soccer Play Offs
We are looking forward to seeing all the grade 4/ 5 fathers next Friday for our Father's Day breakfast and activities in the 4/ 5 classroom.
It is not long to go to grade 3/ 4 camp and the end of the term. Also, our whole school production "Shrek" will be held at the end of October and we have all been practicing hard learning lines, making props, and perfecting our songs.
Please stay in touch and let us know if there is anything we can do to support your child in any way!
