Albanvale PS STEM Week Show Down

We all know after the Group Stage comes the finals...

No, we're not talking about the World Cup. This is much more important.

The Albanvale PS Stem Week Show Down...otherwise known as assembly during STEM Week.

Congratulations to everyone for the amazing effort the put into the various competitions. 

Our first competition was the Mathletics Competition. Students were challenged to see how many stages of Mathletics they could successfully complete. The competition was fierce, with Albanvale PS students featuring in the Top 10 Worldwide on the Mathletics Mathlete Games leaderboard throughout the week!

Next up was the Estamation Game. Students had to guess throughout the week how many pieces of lego were in the jar. The jar was passed from class to class through out the week so every student could have a guess.

There were 482 pieces of lego in the jar. The closest estimation of 500 was Justin B in Prep.

And now for the main event: the Maths Quiz Showdown!

First up were our brave Preppies: Maya L and Ivan C. 

Congratulations to Ivan on becoming the Prep Maths Champion for 2026.

Next we welcomed Ace N, Vincent T and Oscar K from Grade 1. 

Congratulations to Oscar  on becoming the Grade 1 Maths Champion for 2026.

The Grade 2's battle featured Joey B, Elijah S & Eden L.

Congratulations to Joey  on becoming the Grade 2 Maths Champion for 2026.

The Grade 3/4's were next on to the big stage: Alice M, Sunnie T, An N and Liam T.

Congratulations to Alice on becoming the Grade 3/4 Maths Champion for 2026.

Rounding out the assembly was Jayden C, Yonael M, Janet N & Winnie L representing the 5/6s.
