Prospective Prep Parent Information Session
On Tuesday evening we welcomed many prospective Prep families to our school for our Prep Parent Information Session. It was a really positive night and a great chance to share a bit of what makes our school special.
A big thank you to Jess our Prep leader, who led the session and tour so well, and to Riane, our other Prep teacher, for her support. Thank you also to all the staff who helped have the school looking even spunkier than it usually does. We are very proud of our school, and nights like this are a nice chance for us all to reflect on that.
The Education Week theme of Showcase Your School felt like a good fit. We were able to show families our our Prep spaces, all our wonderful classrooms, our staff and the way we approach the first year of school. We also were able to share the exciting journey our students go on throughout their time at our school.
Thank you to the families who came along. Starting school is a big step, and we look forward to supporting our new Prep families as they begin that journey with us.
Volunteers
Today we held a morning tea to recognise and thank the many volunteers who support our school. It was lovely to pause, share some food, and acknowledge the time, care and energy that so many people give to our school
Volunteering looks different for different people, and that is something we really value. Some people are able to help with special lunches, sporting days, cross country, camps, school council, school uniform, fundraising, community events, or the many small jobs that happen behind the scenes. Sometimes this means taking on an ongoing role, and sometimes it simply means being available on a particular day to supervise, help set up, pack up, or lend a hand where needed. All of it matters.
We are very fortunate to have parents, carers, grandparents and community members who are willing to be part of school life in these ways. Your contribution helps create opportunities for our students, supports our staff, and strengthens the sense of connection across our school.
To everyone who joined us today, thank you. To those who were unable to attend but have volunteered in any capacity this year, thank you as well. Our school is better because of the way our community works as one.
